Get The Free Parent Organizers

These Parent Organizers are a guide to help parents prepare for their meeting with the school regarding their child's needs. You will get clarity on what data to keep, how to prepare for school meetings, and how to present your child to be seen not only for their disabilities, but for their abilities as well. By using these organizers, you'll be ready to partner with your child's school in a deeper way.

You Are Not Alone

Hi, I'm Debbie. I am an educational advocate who helps overwhelmed parents and teachers confidently support their students. I mentor others on how to advocate for children with learning differences (IEP, 504, or otherwise) and adapt to their learning styles. Through coaching, you will learn to trust your instincts to create an environment where the child can truly thrive at school and home. I bring over 30 years of experience as an educator, consultant, and parent of children with special needs.

How I Can Help

If you've been looking for help and haven't known where to get it, you're in the right place! Here are just a few of the resources I have available to support you and your learner.

My Philosophy

I know how overwhelming it can be to support each child while recognizing their unique learning and coping abilities. My approach brings the child's perspective and experience into focus so we can better adapt to their needs. In my own home, we talk about our emotions constantly. We believe in identifying what we are feeling and addressing it. Here are some other key points about my philosophy:

An IEP is Not the Goal

Yes, qualifying for an IEP or 504 accommodation is an incredibly beneficial resource, but it's not the end goal. The ultimate goal is to develop an environment where your student can be a successful and independent learner. I know it can be disappointing if you find out your student did not qualify for these services, but there are so many other resources available to you!

There's More Than One Way

When I work with my clients, everything we do is adapted to their unique situation. There's no cookie-cutter or "one size fits all" approach. We tailor everything to the needs of you and your student. Parents, you know your child better than anyone so it's important that we rely on your gut instinct as we weave in the various support tools.

Emphathetic & Direct

Empathy is one of my top strengths which means I care deeply about the people I work with. I invest my whole heart and soul into the work we do together. At the same time, I am direct and say what needs to be said. I believe we are always learning and unlearning things - especially in this space.

"Giving every child a chance to reach their full potential is the best work anyone can do."

Testimonials

"I contacted Who's Learning Now because my daughter was not being seen or heard. My daughter is not just another child with special needs. She is unique and has her own strengths. I wanted a plan that is designed for her, not just a one size fits all program. I needed support to get the school to see her the way everyone else sees her. Debbie met all this & more!"
